Coming to Philadelphia, PA




Our goal here at BarkPark! is to create your dog's happy place.  We are  opening a climate controlled facility that caters to dog owners by offering day care, recreational play, training services and even grooming by South Philadelphia's own "The Dog Enthusiast". Equipped with specialized turf, you will never have to worry about mud or dangerous terrain again!

Work from home? Everyday is bring your dog to work day at BarkPark! reserve space in our dog friendly coworking center and get some work done while your pup works out that extra energy.

The owners of BarkPark! are passionate about giving back to the community. Here are a few examples of the initiatives we are taking to honor our core values.

  • We will give 1% of our profits back to a local charitable organization.
  • We will offer discounted training classes for low income households.
  • BarkPark! will host various free training events.
  • We will host an annual vaccination and licensing event.
  • Foster dogs will be able to come play at our facility for free!

About Us

jameson Gitto

Jameson Gitto worked with CVS Health for seven years as a Crisis Manager as well as General Manager for various store locations all while earning his Bachelors in Business Administration from Temple University. Jameson has been a dog lover since he was a child, growing up with German Shepherds it has always been a dream of his to work with dogs full-time. In 2016 he adopted his best friend Kiera, an energetic German Shepherd. Kiera has inspired Jameson to utilize his extensive business experience to follow his dream and open BarkPark!, thanks Kiera!

Katherine Wade

Katherine Wade worked for 6 years as a full-time caregiver, in which time she received her bachelor's degree from Temple University in Geography and Urban Studies with a minor in Environmental Studies. An avid animal lover, Katherine has experience training and caring for various animals as a former Animal Care Intern at the Philadelphia Zoo. She rescued her miniature poodle, Alfie in 2011. Nurturing Alfie back to good health inspired Katherine to get involved in the advocacy for animal welfare. Since then, she has become a foster parent, a volunteer, and even a feral cat-trapper, for the Trap-Neuter-Release initiative throughout south Philadelphia.
